E. Jack Lemon,
Creator and CEO of The Reality School
E. Jack Lemon has been a licensed Master Social
Worker in private practice for over 25 years. He has
utilized in his practice concepts that range from
cognitive therapies to energy and bodywork.
As a healer, Jack has searched all his adult life
to find a process by which people can heal
themselves. He believes that healing must be
developmental affecting body, mind, and spirit.
The process he teaches emerged out of his journey
as a pathfinder for his people and himself.
He is a certified hypnotherapist and is an ordained
Presbyterian minister. He has explored extensively
the many aspects of body, mind, and spirit.
Like most therapists, he was searching for a
healing process that worked for his clients.
His frustration mounted over the years, because no matter what techniques he used, his clients,
overtime, returned to many of their core beliefs.
A breakthrough, as he states in the book, occurred when he discovered one must learn to ask different
questions. Specifically these questions had to do with what and how rather than why the therapeutic
results did not last long term. In his search for the reason therapeutic results were often not integrated
long term in a person's life led him to examine the concept of addiction. Specifically, what addiction
was prevalent universally in humans. His search culminated in the following observation.
The History of Bear Creek Farm
Bear Creek Farm is a 55 acre farm located about four miles north of Dundee Michigan. It has
been owned by Donna Dietrich-Lemon and E. Jack Lemon since 1978.
Originally Jack and Donna establish the farm as an experiment in cooperative living. This
experiment was done in conjunction with The United Methodist Church as a possible response
to world hunger. It became clear over time, that cooperative living was not a viable option for
middle-class Americans, largely because the American culture values privacy and individual
space so highly. For many years Jack and Donna lived quietly at the farm, enjoying its peace,
and it's energy. Horses, burros, chickens, goats, sheep, llamas, cats and dogs all have
contributed to the peace that is Bear Creek Farm.
In 1989 Jack was given a Native American Pipe by a Native American Pipe Carrier named
Clay Campbell (Good Bear Robe). When he left he told Jack that the Pipe would teach him what
to do with it. Shortly after this, The People Of The Pipestem were born. They are people who are
committed to their personal growth through prayer. Their personal growth always leads to
service to Mother Earth and all of her people.
Sweatlodges, Pipe Ceremonies, and personal Vision Quests, emerged out of the People of the
Pipestem and their relationship with the land at Bear Creek Farm.
The Reality School is a logical emergence of E. Jack Lemon's growth professionally and his
relationship with the Sacred Land, the Pipe, and his journey with the Christ.
Donna and Jack, invite you to attend The Reality School and experience the peace and quiet
energy that is Bear Creek Farm.
I believe that the fundamental problem in human development and spirituality today is the Addiction to Certainty.
As long as individuals use the sense of certainty as their foundation for truth and reality, long-term and in-depth transformation is difficult if not impossible.
